Aviva Premiership – Round 14 Review

Alianz Park
Sunday 15th February 2015
Charlie Hodgson and new man Tom Homer exchanged a penalty before Sarries captain Alastair Hargreaves ran through. Jamie George then produced some superb hands to set Chris Wyles up for a try. Hodgson hit 1 more penalty to complete the scoring of the first half.
1 minute into the second half Hodgson slotted another penalty. 2 minutes later Jackson Wray powered through Henry Thomas’ tackle. He then offloaded away to Chris Ashton who flicked the pass away to Jamie George who just managed to get the ball down. the next points came for Bath – Nick Auterac’s offload found Olly Devoto. Olly Devoto ran a great line then gave the ball to Semesa Rockoduguni who paced away from Neil De Kock and scored the try. Barritt and Hodgson linked well and it was then given to Alex Goode who grubbered through. Chris Ashton outpaced Micky Young to the ball and finished very well. Kyle Eastmond gave Olly Woodburn a flat pass and some lovely foot work from Woodburn set up a clear run in the Bath man. Eastmond hopped through then floated the ball out to Rockoduguni who scored his second of the match. However it was not to make a difference as a Charlie Hodgson penalty made it a 13 point match. The only other thing Bath could get was another Tom Homer penalty which wasn’t enough to send them back home with a bonus point.
