In the past few days, there has been many transfers from club to club. I featured George Ford to Leicester and Freddie Burns to Bath but their were more in the world of rugby:
Mark Bennett will make the switch from Glasgow Warriors to Edinburgh. Bennett took part in the Rio Olympic 7’s but after returning from the 7’s stage, he has struggled to play to his former standards. He will make the journey from one Scottish club to the other.
Dwayne Peel has signed a deal with Ulster to become their assistant coach next year. The former Welsh international will join from Bristol after being there for 3 years.
Despite losing Mark Bennett, Glasgow Warriors did secure the signing of Stormers prop Oliver Kebble. The 24 year old won the 2014 under 20’s World Cup with the Springboks.
Leicester Tigers’s 25 year-old centre, Jack Roberts has signed for Cardiff Blues. Roberts came through Scarlets’ youth academy and said “coming back to Wales was a big-pull.”
Bristol’s Mark Sorenson is set to retire at the end of this season. The 37 year-old New Zealander endured 83 games for Bristol after signing in 2013.
Alex Cuthbert is one of 13 other players who has had his contract terminated by WRU. However, he is still going to play for the Blues against Treviso this weekend.
